Love the side grills. That looks incredible! It appears the turn signal is built into it which makes it even better. My question, though, is whether the side grills are also designed to move air out of the engine bay for circulation or are just for show.

Me too! Those are the so sweet. I couldn't even think of that up myself. It'd be nice if they're functional too, but I dunno about that.

I bet they will be. BWW in general is good at placing function over form and just like in the E46 M3 I suspect at least one of these will serve to cool engine electronics.

This isn't the first time the side grill had a turn marker on it though, don't forget the Z8. That was for show so I wouldn't doubt that this one is as well.
