need to "borrow" a wheel for a few weeks

Here's my dilemma -- I have a crack in my rim, and I have 19x9.5 VMR VB3s in super silver. I've called a few retailers and they're all out of stock, apparently the factory won't produce any new ones until later on in the month

The problem is, my wheel is leaking air. I was wondering if anyone has any good stop gap solutions, or if anyone can "lend" me a wheel that'll fit my tire until I get my new one

My tire size is 265/30-19, btw

There are tons on M3F. I believe there is an ad for 2 rears in the classifieds right now!

Would love to help, but I just sold my spare set of 19's which would've fit your tires
Bad timing...
G'luck!

It might help to know where in Cali you are. I'm in Orange County and have a set of 4 18" OEM rims with run flats on them that could be borrowed. I would not go canyon running on them, however, they are a good set of rollers.

I'm in Redondo...so yeah, that'd be awesome. I don't go canyon running or drifting on off ramps or anything so don't worry. Lemme hop over to m3f and see if I can get a replacement rim really soon, if not I might take you up

Where in OC are you?

A cracked rim like that would show a weld bead. I do not think I would want that look if it was me.

I have not seen it either. Just going on what Clemente said and the look when the guy down south had his rime re sized from 9' to 8.5', was not a good look. When my rim was cracked I was told they would need to weld and there would be a bead showing. It sounds like the Op is looking at getting a new rim, probably the best choice. It's not like it is just curb rash, the rim is leaking due to the crack.

I had someone at Discount Tire tell me that because of the cracks I have in it (one big one that's the culprit) and two smaller ones, or three smaller ones, that they won't repair it. The reason I went to DT is that they sold me a tire, and I thought the tire was the problem

imz4n, I'll PM you as soon as I have enough posts, I think I'll take you up on your tire

Has a set of 18' rollers on and I will take his 2 cracked rims down tomorrow and see what can be done and he can make that choice.
