N55 Single Turbo upgrade?

Are there any company's working on a turbo upgrade for the N55 unit?
How much power are these engines (n55) estimated at handling?

I would think someone could custom build a turbo system for this car

Only things needed i would think would be:
oil lines / water lines
intercooler piping custom
intake pipe custom
Turbocharger
wastegate
manifold custom
downpipe custom

Or am i mistaking? Is there more to this engine restrictions?

The fabricating is the easy part. It's the tuning and fueling that keeps stalling turbo upgrades for the n54/55's. Also, just look how limited the v5 and jb4 are for the n55 so far. The dme nannies are a little more on top of things on this platform.

Nothing at all yet. There arent even any upgrades for the N54 and adding fuel has been somewhat limited.

PAW motorsport and their flash seems to be the best luck so far for the N55 if you want to go that route over the piggybacks..

No injectors or pumps. These motors require "abnormal" components that have to be coded to the dme to function. Unfortunately they aren't just generic walboro pumps that can be upgraded or regular injectors. :/

it would be nice if anyone knew what the stock N55 model was to begin with, perhaps there is some upgrading to be done on the stock housing

i find it ridiculous the tuners are willing to tune this platform without even knowing the compressor map/limits for the stock turbo

so far nobody knows what it is

Well i am not really talking about upgrading to a big GT40 or something lol... Just saying maybe say a 50 trim or GT35... or maybe even a small turbo that able to handle 500WHP...

I am sure we can find away around these problems if the N54's are pushing 450whp+ on singles, with the fuel issue still being there.

i honestly would be happy with a solid 360-380whp tuned, full bolt ons.
isn't that what we almost have now?
just still work'n out the minor kinks.

summer is around the corner - has anyone track'd their n55 with the
tunes available (besides 1/4 - 1/8 mile runs) yet?

I just only wish'd that bmw would have had a DCT version for the 3er N55.

I am waiting to track mine, but waiting on the procede Connectors so i don't have to deal with this limp mode over and over again... I am going to go all out this month with every bolt on possible for my car, take it to the dyno, and the track to see how it performs... with full bolt ons if i can only get 340 350whp out of this thing i will look into the whole turbo upgrade thing...

with n54 reaching 700whp the turbo war* has ignited new flames...the n55 would not likely see an upgraded turbo Stage 1 until next spring

being optimistic
