535iX M Sport Winter Tire Selection

I am confused and wish your assistance. I have a new 535iX M Sport with all season (ugh) style 351 Front/Rear: 19x8.5, 245/40 R19. I would like to buy an oem set of BMW 18"s for winter rubber but can't get a straight enough answer why I can't have the set I want to work/fit. I would like style 328 Front/Rear: 18x8.0, 245/45 R18. Will these work proper or not? No issues with rubbing or wheel crank?... The dealer says I have only one choice and these ain't them.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated

I think your dealer is wrong. Page 74 on the 2011 BMW order guide shows standard rims are 237, on page 77 it shows the rims are 18 x 8. I have BMW 350m 18 inch rims with winter tires on my 550ix with 245/45/18 Dunlop winter sport M3 nonRFTs. (see photo) I replaced OEM Goodyear LS2 all season RFTs with Michelin Pilot PS2 noRFTs for summer. Good luck!

As indicated in this post (http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...=489836&page=2) I'm running BMW M6 Replica wheels (18" x 8") with 245/45/18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM 25 Runflat tires and the size is correct.

BMW Canada only have 1 18" wheel style 281 available as a set (Winter tire is Dunlop WS 3D Runflat). This is what I have on mine

If you really want the style 328 (definitely will work/fit), you would have to buy them at the dealer which are priced very high. (or source it elsewhere, like US - at a much more reasonable price)

In US, this sells for $310 per. Add shipping of $150(set of 4) + customs & taxes (20-25%) on top = approx. $1700 - $1800 range for set of 4

Alternatively, you can always consider aftermarket wheels as well. Just make sure the offset is 30 (+- 2 would be fine) for the 18*8 wheel. VMR wheels are nice !

Hi 5Fix,

After reading some of the postings on run flats, I am confused. Can non run flat tires be installed on any BMW oem wheels F10/F11. Or are there any specific OEM wheels on which non run flat tires can be installed.

I see that you have 350m style wheels and installed non run flat tires on them.

Thank you
Subba

I replied to another message you posted. I have installed nonRFTS on 350m (winter) and 351m (summer) rims and did the same on my e60 550i for four years with no problems.
