New guy says hi!

Hi all,

First of all: Thanks for all the valueable info on this forum! Only wish I found you guys before ordering my new E91.....

Quick introduction: 34 year old male from Holland, currently driving a toyota MR2 (known as the MR Spyder in US). Have had 2 of these, the first got me hooked on real wheel drive.

After birth of my daughter 2 months ago it is time for some more seats and luggage-space, but trying to find a car that has space AND is fun to drive has been quite hard. RWD is a requirement for me, so the only real options are lexus or BMW. The IS220 is too small for me, so I ordered an E91 in montego-blue. The color was somewhat of a gamble for me, because no dealer in holland or the importer had one in that colour available. After seeing the pics on this forum, I can´t wait to see it and drive it!

Have decided on less horsepower and more luxury as I will be using the car for business AND the roads here in holland are completely blocked with traffic jams so i have ordered a 318d. According to the dealer it will arrive within 2 weeks! Can´t wait.....

Welcome. We need more E91 owners in here. I will take delivery of mine in April to join my E46 330xi and my E46 M3. Post some p[ictures of your MR2 and your E91 when you get it. Congratulations on your daughter. I decided to get the E91 after my baby boy was born.

----

Enjoy your stay (read and writing) at the forum, and post some pictures after it's arrived.

I won´t! @brummelenj: je vergist je, de SW20 was de dameskappersbak (te zwaar, niet scherp genoeg). The spyder was designed as a convertible and is very much comparable to the original AW11 in agility and cornering capacities. and if you don´t believe me, there is still 2 weeks for me to take you for a road test (although it is on winter tyres at the moment)

Thanks for the welcome guys, here´s some pics of my spyder:

Almost the same colour for the E91? At least It isn't a boring colour.

My collegue did have a SW20, it did handle quite well, not as hardcore as the first one, I thought it wasn't that bad at all.

De groeten, Joop

Thanks for the welcomes! The good news: my E91 arrived at the dealer today. My dealer sits along the highway I take to work, and thanks to the montego-blue I saw it standing out in the grey and black crowd even with 160 knm/h :-D Dealer just confirmed by e-mail that it is mine!
Think I'll leave work early today.... ;-)

Saw my E91 live today and sat in it for a brief moment..... have to wait one more week though for them to polish it and get a licence plate etc.

Sorry, no pics yet, had no camera on me.

the specs though:
318D montego-blue E91 with:
156-rims
Xenon
Nav pro
Bluetooth
voice control
auto airco
alarm
sport steering wheel
sport seats with black leatherette
PDC rear
self-dimming RV mirror
rain- and light sensors
back sunshades
no badges
and the all important "storage package"with basically gives you 2 cupholders in the front for 150 EUR.....

Can't wait to drive it!
