Halogen Bulb Replacement

First of all I was really set on buying the halogen to HID kits but it seems like people are not suggesting it because it projects the light in every direction.. So I guess my only option is to change my bulb. I have read a couple of guys suggesting the sylvania super white ( 55w ) and PIAA..

Can anyone suggest me the brightest bulb replacement I could get without errors? and at the same time wont burn my harness ( because I bought these ebay bulbs and it burnt my jettas harness *ebay bulb=85w car max load=65w)... Anyways I know 1 other person posted a similar post but I just want to make sure im doing the right thing..

THX

I would recommend you to swap to xenon.
I also had halogen headlight and changed all different kinds of bulb, all of them are crap as hell. I installed HID and it burnt my control unit and had to replace to new one again.

Save some money and buy U.S spec xenon or Euro(if $$$ is not issue).
