Talking Eventually some pics of my car

Hi everyone, ive finally got round to taking some pics of the car- its been 3/4 weeks ive had it now n generally no complaints apart from the usual - run flats, sh!t stereo and the window streaks that im on a mission to get rid of lol and you's will notice that i went for the limited edition bumper with 2 holes until BMW get my parts in to get fitted haha

Some mods that are on the list,

Change to black grills
M3 spoiler
tint back 3 windows
new wheels for summer time
change angel eyes to a nice white light
also probs change some interior lights at the same time.
DO SOMETHING WITH THE SOUND SYSTEM lol im not looking for major output but it would be nice to be able to turn it up on the motorway etc

also any suggestions from you guys?
thanks for looking
David

Never sure about black grilles on silver, though.
Have you tracked down some examples on here....?

Cheers

Nope ive seen one pic i think of the black grills (YORO's car) but i was just wanna change since its the only chrome bit on the car ( not a fan of chrome lol ) failing that i might see if i can get the chrome part of the grills colour coded on a new set obv to silver - either way its not expensive mods mods so a bit of trial n error wont harm

Outta curiosoty has anybody colourcoded the rear valance? id be interested to see that done but with it being diesel would it just be filthy? lol

Looks good mate, bout time you got pics up

the chrome on the grills actually sepperates from the slats so would be fairly easy to paint/wrap!

I jus stuck some black grills on mine the other day, looks good with the shadowline

Agree with the sound system, I don't find mine 'bad' with the majority of music. deadmau5 tunes certainly show up its weakness, definately something I want to fix but not sure how/with what, scared to rip the interior apart and end up with rattles and creaks everywhere.

Haha I thought u would say that bud

Nice one i might order a wee roll of 3M from eBay the night n try wrapping them n if it looks good just paint them myself

Exact same mate n tbh I don't really wanna pull a car apart for the sake of sounds, it'd be so much easier if swapping speakers over would be a fix lol! I think I've just got the base stereo n its all right until ye turn it up a little then it FAILS

Weird m sport with no leather, didn't know that was even possible. I would get that re-trimmed if it was me but I guess you wanted it without leather specifically.

I dislike tints on the rear but each to their own. I always thinks it looks weird just the rear section when the front sides are clear.

If your looking for new wheels maybe go for a CSL rep, tyres continental SC 5.

For audio possibly the Alpine upgrade from BMW.

Interior lights look for DDM LED lights from CA AUTO.

For Angles maybe the ones Mccarroll01 has put, they can be baught from hids-direct and are called LED Markers

I didn't realise all Msports had leather? I didn't want these seats specifically but I don't like full leather as I find it tends to sag so usually go for half leather but I didn't get the choice buying used

Yip I'm quite fancying the csl's or M6's ( not a huge dif IMO)

Alpine is the best option by the sounds of it but does the interior not need to get pretty pulled apart to install?

Thanks for the interior lights mate I'll have a wee look at them just now

Leather is not standard on M sport..mine is exactly the same as the OP..it's suede leather with heated seats. Kinda like them better than leather TBH..it's not as cold to sit on during a cold winter morning and no risk of scuffing from jeans/buttons. My last 3 cars had leather seat in them.

Couldn't have said that better myself I head to work at 5am everyday and cold mornings with leather are a pain, I'm planning on keeping the e92 for a while (5th car in 18 month so far pmsl) but when I change I'd rather these seats, something about the " suede " looks and feels expensive IMO

My car also has the suede\cloth. Originally thought it looked awfull in pictures but was really surpised how nice it looked and felt when I sat in one for the first time, cool in summer and warm in winter. Prefer it to the leather my 330D had.

I think i'm also going for the Alpine upgrade, cant believe the sound system is actually worse than the stock one in my old E46.

Isn't the pro logic 7 system one of the better ones? I think I have the base system ( I assume I have it's that poor haha )

To be fair though my previous cars lately have all had premium options for sounds so it's kinda like going from a ferarri to a fiat lol

Think mines the standard stereo as well, but either i'm deaf or I don't find it as bad as everyone makes out, but I do agree it's not the best. I've heard the Apline upgrade was a bit of a let down but i've no experience of it.

have a look:

Logic7 is quite an expensive optional extra with 13 speakers in total. It sounds bloody nice

Never heard logic 7 but the base stereo is really awful. Alpine upgrade is a great improvement but still not as good for example as sound system on my last TT.
