Overlays For E90 (fitment)
I am working with Andy from Bluebatmobile.net on the fitment for E90 headlight/tailight overlays. Once fitment and install is complete i'll post some pics. It's probably sometime next weekend. :rocks:
Check out the pics from different cars . http://www.bluebatmobile.net

overlays are cool, but someone needs to replicate the euro reflector look
instead of putting overlays on the reflector to hide them. somone needs to make a silver reflector overlay, that would look soo clean and very oem.

Actually a smoked silver or white may work to some effect, I was thinking. Gives the amber a frosted look similar to the black smoke overlays.....

I was bored last night and went to walmart to buy some vinyl, they didn't have any so i bought some window tint and did them myself. I got that "smoked look" pretty good for 7.50 total.

Here's the pics as requested! Sorry that my car is a little dirty, have to wash it today. Overall it's pretty easy to do, how dark you want them depends (obviously) on how dark you buy the tint so it's really on personal taste. Since I already made the template I'm probably going to do some more, I'll try vinyl. This was fun for me and I enjoy doing this myself, however if you prefer to just buy stuff already made, Hunter another member sells these and they are excellent quality from what I see in the pics.

exactly, it's the percentage of light allowance of the tint film. With your method, easier to customize (pick any percentage of tint you want, so you can have the black out look, slightly smoked or heavily smoked) and for cheap too!
good job dude

thats exactly what i was gonna do. but theni was worried how the tint would last on the outside, as opposed to the inside of a window.
