Upcoming BMW CCA Events?
I've been looking into some of the upcoming BMW CCA events. Particularly the Car Control Clinic/Autocross School and the Spring Performance Driving School at HPR.
Is anyone attending either of these or attended in the past? Now that I have a fast car I figured it was time to learn how to drive it properly.

HPR is a great track. If you've never had instruction at the track, definitely go to the spring driving school. I think if it's your first time they ask you to go to the car control clinic. The instruction is really pretty good and they are very safe. I will probably be going to the spring school.
AutoX is very different from the track. I enjoy track days more; you get a lot more driving time than in an AutoX, at much higher speeds. That said, AutoX requires a lot faster reflexes and is also good training for the track in some ways.

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like the control clinic is free if you're attending the driving school so I'll most likely go to that too. Looks fun.
I noticed that you can attend the driving school on Sat, Sun or both days. What's the format like? Are both days about the same?

Usually Sunday has fewer drivers, which just means there are fewer cars on the track at the same time. They run 4 run groups, you get 4x20 minute sessions, plus classroom instruction between each session.

Registration opens Saturday 3/26
Just a reminder that registration opens up for the Spring driving school at HPR this Saturday (3/26) at noon. The club is using Motorsportreg.com for registration these days. If you're a newbie, I would highly recommend signing up for both days as you'll see immense improvement with back-to-back days / seat time. They've also revamped the classroom material and I have to say it's really improved.
Cheers! Edit: Updated to include the following email verbiage I just received... If you are doing the driving school, then you should consider the Car Control Clinic or the AutoX school at PPIR on April 30 th too. First timers to the driving school should definitely do the CCC. It is included in the driving school fee. If you want to partake of just the CCC or the AutoX school, then you can. Cost is $66.00.

I just signed up for both days and the CCC. I was surprised at how many others had already signed up considering registration opened at noon and it's only 4pm. I don't know how much space is available but you might now want to wait if you're thinking about signing up. I only saw one other E9X M3 signed up so far too.

I'm on the fence... I have book-ending NASA events. May 14-15 in Pueblo, May 28-30 in Hastings NE. I think I may sign up to work corners Saturday... maybe drive Sunday.
I did get an email this morning from Leslie Jenkins (registrar) with the following registration numbers (there are 70 slots / day available): - Saturday: 42 - Sunday: 30 If you're debating... best to sign up now!
