iDrive SW upgrade

I have a pre 9/2010 build and do not have the office automation features (including the text to voice, calendar etc.) as part of my iDrive options.

Is there any technical reason that would prohibit me from upgrading to the latest iDrive version, which includes the new Office feature?

Also, if it is technically possible, would BMW perform this upgrade at no charge?

Search for Combox and you will have your answer. It is not merely software, but hardware as well.

There is talk of a update being available in the summer in the UK expected to cost about £1000.... For both software and hardware
