What dealers perform annual oil change?

After reading numerous threads, I still get the feeling that some dealers do, and others don't.

Which dealers in the GTA do? Budds Oakville would be most convenient however I would love to know upfront in case I run into any issues.

I was at Parkview BMW recently and they preformed a low mileage annual oil change on my car.
I've got just over 9,000 kms and they changed the oil and oil filter.
They did not however reset the Oil Change Service light, nor did they change the Microfilter.

Would they not all change oil as per the Manufacturers recommendation? I'm a firm believer in going to the same place all the time. If you ever have any problems down the line it can all instantly be traced back. Pretty simple. Especially with your Dinan.

From reading numerous threads on the topic, it appears not all dealers are willing to until the CBS indicates a change is needed.

+1. They will change the microfilter when the Oil Change Service light actually needs to be reset. I had the same thing done to my car in December.

Every dealer does it, it's not a dealer by dealer decision, it's a BMW decision. You get an oil change when the car tells you or 1 year to the day after your previous change no ifs and or buts.

Don't take no as an answer from your dealer.

4 year/50,000 miles = 2 free oil change

according to onboard computer.....no ifs or but

Ok,after reading my owners manual it states an "annual oil change is recommended". Try as I might there is nothing in the manual or service book that states an annual oil change is covered.

Can you point to a BMW document that suggests otherwise? I want to be prepared when I call my local dealership (Budds/Oakville) as I have heard Budds Oakville goes strictly by the CBS.

It could be in that service package you get from BMW when you get a new car, that package you get in the mail that has your service card etc... I will check when I get home.

My car only has 14k on it and has two oil changes done under the maintenance plan. Oil change #1 was done exactly 1 year after delivery. Oil change #2 was done exactly 1 year after the first oil change.

Oh and for what's it worth, I just called Budds and asked to book an annual oil change as part of the maintenance plan. She asked when the last one was done, I said Jan 2010. She asked how many km's since the last oil change, I said 7k. She said no problem, I told her I would call back to book an appointment.
