My 328 is faster than a 335!! ;)
It's true! Last night I followed a 335 through a left hand turn in an intersection on to a 4 lane road. As he struggled to get up to speed, I jumped into the lane next to him and surged past him and was easily going 3x his speed. I looked into my mirror and waved goodbye as his 335 headlights dwindled into a single point then dissappeared alltogether!
Proof that the 328 is faster than the 335! I should probably mention, there was a little bit of snow on the ground (2-3 inches), he appeared to have the sport package and presumabely those stupid summer sport tires... and I have a 328xi. But it was still funny! I love my xi, we went up the steepest twisty hills last night in the snow and had ZERO difficulty. I called a family member and they met me at the worst hill in the area with their Subaru Legacy. I rode up it with him and you could feel his viscus disk awd drive slipping here and there before it could catch up. It got up the hill fine, but it wasn't a totally secure feeling... then we got in my week old 328xi and went up the same hill... my DSC light never flashed, and there was NO noticible wheel spin at all... it was AMAZING. I'll take BMW's x-drive over standard AWD anyday!

Wait till an old, heavy Chevy Impala pulls up to you with it's skinny tires. It will blow you away in the snow.

Why does the fact that if you passed a car, then your car is faster?! The guy was driving at what he/she felt comfortable driving at. People love racing my car - that doesn't mean that I do race them as well. I get the feeling that mini-van drivers get some kind of pleasure in passing me (or cutting me off).

I wish I would race my new 335i in the snow. I can see it now. Me starting a thread that said "I can't believe I lost to a 328," other members see the 2-3 inches of snow comment and ambush me with: and call me an idiot.
I could beat a Mclaren F1 in a jeep wrangler if conditions are bad enough

i personally HATE driving in snow with my e92 335i. Even a LITTLE tiny bit of snow layer and my sport tires (sport package) spin a bit. I do'nt risk it. I know my car is not well suited for snow so i don't sweat it. I drive a bit like a granny... Now 328xi beating a 335i.... Ummmmm not going to happen. Maybe since the snow was their, as stated above, he didn't want to ruin his 50K car. to me, it was between 328xi fully loaded or 335i with needed packages. Soooo i went with 335i, the way I see it, it is only going to snow so many times in a whole 12 months so.... I went with the 335i because it will rip ground in the summer, fall, spring, and some winter. So the only real need for the xi would be if it snows... Where as here i only needed to take my car to work 2 days of snow, which my car handled ok. that's 2 days i needed to drive in the snow, and it's march 1st and the temperature so far for the next 10 days look to be in the high 40's and low 50's... so i'm HAPPY i get to enjoy my 335i most months of the year. Xi I is hot though, one day i was concidering taking my moms x5 to work. Her x5 just get's out of snow like NOTHING

When it's snowing here, I always take my GF's 20 year old Peugeot to go to the supermarket etc. But the strange thing is: No other car can keep up with me. Dunno why not..
