H&R sport mess up my ride

I have H&R sport spring installed on stock non-sport shocks and my ride quality is like completely sacrificed. The ride is now very harsh and bumpy. The situation becomes much worse when I have passengers in my car.
I am running 19' Breyton wheels with normal tires.

I also heard some strange noise coming from suspension when I go over speed bump.

My friend is running with 18' wheels and Eibach Pro-Kit has a much better ride...

What should I do to improve the ride quality in the cheapest way?
Will changing the spring to Eibach Pro-Kit help?
How about changing shocks?
Should I run with 18' wheels?

Any help will be appreciated!

Upgrade your shocks to an aftermarket like Bilstein, Koni; or just sell the H&R and go with coilovers

H&R are known to be harsher than Eibachs since they drop the car more. Definitely need to slap some shocks on there. Everyone does Koni yellows so that is the best route since you are running springs.

You should have done your homework. It is not advisable to mismatch springs with shocks that are not designed to handle the higher spring rate. You need to find a shock that is designed for lowering springs and one that can accomodate the spring rate of the H&R's. But even then you still may not be happy, H&R's are VERY stiff and better suited for the track IMO.

The cheapest way is to get a set of Eibach Pro Kit, they are cheaper than new shocks and should work very well with your stock shocks.

H&R Sports will ride firmer and lower than the Eibachs so it depends on what you are going for. I agree that aftermarket shocks will do wonders over the OE setup. If you are looking for the most comfortable aftermarket setup, I recommend the Koni FSD/Eibach Pro Kit Combo.

I had done some research before I went with H&R, reviews on H&R were mixed, some said ok, some said harsh, but I really like the drop so I decided to go with it.

Have been using H&R for 2 weeks, I can accept the ride when I am driving by myself, but definitely can't when I have one or more passengers.
Seriously think of going with Eibach Pro-Kit but I'm afraid the result will be similar.
Will Eibach Pro-Kit solve the issue?

i have h&r sports, and ya the ride is very firm and "go-cart esque" LOL....I am mos def going with coils in the near future. i can lower it more, and have a more comfortable ride, so it's the best of both worlds. but as they say, you gotta pay to play.

Yes, at least when paired with OEM dampers. I would advise finding a damper that is designed for the spring rate of the H&R's. BTW, if you have an e90 the old Performance dampers are not designed for the spring rate of the H&R's.

What are you guys talking about H&R being so stiff? Of course any car you lower , your spring rates and the compression will make the car stiff.. Why would you want a sloppy ride when your low... If you lower a car be ready for a stiffer ride, if you cant handle it then dont lower it. Simple.
