Alternative to the mushroom dust cloud front brake pads??
Ive searched. I'm looking for an alternative to front brake pads for my e92. SICK and TIRED of having to clean the dust off the wheels every few days. Anyone have a viable alternative that they can provide a link to..? I've even considered those cheezzzzy brake covers that go behind the wheel and shield the caliper from the face of the wheel!! lol!

put wax on your rims and that will hold off a few days. Or you got to replace the whole brake system to either stop tech or brembo

the brake forum is very helpful... found this thread. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487476
I think I'm leaning towards the cool carbon pads. Looks like they are $118 a set for fronts... The hawks also have some good reviews as well.... |

OP wax your wheels and change your brake pads to a ceramic compound. There is Hawk Ceramic, Stoptech street pads, Mintex street pad, and Posi-quiet ceramic. |

The pads last longer. Therefore they dust less. It's weird. I know. When I had my 350Z long, LONG time ago, I used to have the same pad material (Hawk HPS) before and after I switched to a 2 piece setup with fixed calipers. Surprisingly, despite running the same pad material, with the larger 2 piece rotor it appears the dusting was marginally better than within the stock brake caliper/rotor setup. Therefore I wouldn't completely DISMISS having some sort of aftermarket big brake kit that will lead to improved dusting characteristic. Although, I have to say, the change was pretty marginal and to get big brakes for less brake dust? Not entirely my idea of smart investment.
