e92 angel eyes idea..

just thinkin out loud but
what if we fitted hid bulbs with ballasts (battery relay of course) into the h8 socket of the e92 angel eye socket since it doesnt really have a "special" bulb socket like e90....
i think the angel eyes would be MAD bright
has anyone thought of doing this?

would the HID's get too hot for the angel eyes to tolerate?
They seem pretty bright already with the replacement bulbs in place.

i hope it works out.. the last time i took a close look at the Inner Angel housing...

What separate Angel and the COrning light is a silver plastic reflecting housing...

don't know that HID brightness will penetrate into the Corner light reflector and start to shine into the COrnering light..
and the result is the light leak into the Cornering housing.. and loss the definition of the angel....

several other questions:

1. if you run the power from battery.. and not utilizing the existing H8 socket.. you get a bulb out error.

2. Even if you can use the power from H8 to run the HID... its been know that when the Xenon is on.. that H8 socket cuts the power to 66%.... therefore.. can teh HID fired up? with only 25watt?

1. i dont think so, relays are supposed to get the feed from the battery BUT it also gets a "on/off" feed off the h8 socket

2. relays are supposed to feed the power directly from the battery so even if the original h8 power is cut

also, red star rising, if you're using a relay off the battery, use fuse holders between the battery to the relay and another one for the connection between the relay and the hid ballast (30 amps for battery to the relay, 15 amps from the relay to the ballast) and use a 1N4005 diode from the original h8 positive feed to the relay to prevent relay flickering
