Which tires and BBS rims for summer?
Hi,
After pondering between used or new BBS rims, finally I decided to buy new BBS rims to reduce risks but more expense. Now another problem, which tires... what summer tires do you recommend? I don't know what is track and use subway for commuting, but I want good performance tires. and which sizes... Considering Toronto road condition (lots of pothole), I will go for 18" rather than 19". What size staggered do you guys recommend with xdrive? 18x8 and 18x9.5, 18x8.5 and 18x9.5, ...? Thanks in advance. Last edited by aladdinAndMagicBmw; 02-06-2011 at 11:59 PM.. |

good choice on BBS. I have 18 inch CH's and realy like them. There are lots of threads describing pros and cons of 18 and 19 inch wheels. 18's made sense for me for Toronto use.

I had 19" RS-GTs on my e90 and they look/ride great with Yoko Advan Sport and Falken 452s, with a drop I love the stance, could get a little bumpy in Toronto roads though but that's expected. Sold them a few months ago and I believe the guy is parting his car now...
One drawback is my setup is 19x8.5 all around, but I had 15mm spacers on the rear so that makes up for it.

the Falkens are not bad for daily driving especially for the price, less bumpy than the Advan Sports I had before and road noise is minimal.
You can't go wrong at this price! |

For daily driving, Falken is definitely the best.
OP, do not go 18. We will hard time reselling them. Also, most BBS look terrible on 18..
