?Any Shadow Line Aternatives for E92?

Shadow Line for the E92 costs $1500+..plus install ($150 or so).

What alternatives are there to this "BMW accessory" that look good and are durable? Painting the Trim? Some of the tapes that cover the Trim? Any after market providers have Shadow Line at better prices?

Are you talking about the black trim that goes over the windows on the coupe? The stuff that is chrome stock? If you are, then $1500 is a ridiculous amount of money for that!

I was planning on swapping the trim for black also, but if its that much money then i'll have to look for a new solution.

same here, i didnt know it cost even close to that, i thought it was like 100-300$

the e90 shadow line is almost 300/side.

BTW: i painted my chrome trim. Looked good for awhile, but is chipping slightly now.

The shadow line is the dark metal that replaces the chrome stuff around the windows. Both my dealer...and an online store give similar pricing. The biggest piece is that which rides above the front and rear windows on the coupe and wraps around the rear window. It costs about $500, each side. Ouch.

A local, very good, paint shop feels they can paint the pieces...on the car...for $400. If you try to take this "chrome (actually aluminum) stuff" off the car to paint it...it will get bent (and is irrepairable).
