New Member...

So I have been lurking here for some time and just joined today. Last week when my was lease was up on my Nissan I jumped at the chance to pickup a 2010 335I XDrive. Driving back and fourth to the office on the 407 has never been so much fun.

I look forward to reading up on all the topics here.

I picked up a JB4 and DCI from BMS but I think for now I'm not going to install them in my new baby, I may even sell them. I don't think I have the skills to install and uninstall these things every time it needs any type of service, and I'd hate to have my warranty revoked. So for now it's just stock for me.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forum
If you want more power and warranty check out Dinan, otherwise any one of the other flash products like cobb and giac would be your best bet. All software driven.

If you do put the JB4 in you won't be able to drive stock again. It's that good. I'm just saying.

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah I'm thinking of going with a flash, Cobb maybe?

But I think I'm gonna sell the JB4, looks like too much trouble for a newbie. LOL.

It's actually quite easy to install, your first install will probably be a bit slow but then after that it's 15 / 20 mins from hood open to close. Just watch someone the first time and you should be good after that.

If you still can't figure it out. Flash is the way to go

I can't even hang a picture lol. I think I may go for the Cobb, I used to play the DTV and Dishnetworks game back in the day, this don't seem difficult.

Can someone explain the BT cable thing to me? If the Cobb AP deletes all codes why do you need the BT cable? And if I do need one are they all the same? Where is the best place to buy it?

Thanks.

That's for a 3 VIN tool. I believe if you buy a JB4 you have the option of buying a 1 VIN tool for much less. Again contact Mike for anything related to BMS. He's great to deal with.
