Backlights died

brand new E92 328i less than a month old. i find one of the LED had died. lol freaking bmw

Btw does anyone know how the backlights on these buttons work? Like how would the dealer go about fixing them? would they simply take the individual bulb out from behind the buttons, or will they have to change the entire board behind it?

so almost half a year later, after graduating from berkeley, i finally brought the car in back into New Century BMW in SoCal for repair.

Brought it in @ 9am to fix the backlight, SA says the DVD drive will probably have to be replaced. Get a loaner.

4:30 PM: SA calls, says car will be ready in ~30 min.

5:PM: SA calls "umm we ****ed up.... the update failed, will need to replace the CIC and the screen"

Ummm.. excessive much? Also, since your car is a 2011, you have a CIC, not CCC.

this all seems like no big deal, everyone knows bmw doesn't fix things, it replaces 'em.
