Valvetronic motor- Can't remove. What tool to use?

I can't remove that doggone thing. I've tried 6mm star and reverse torx sockets and nothing on the 2 bolts that hold it in place. Has anyone had success in removing it? What tool specs did you use? Help pleassssssssssse!!!

I'll have to check out on my car, but external torx work just fine. I had to remove mine about 3 weeks ago to replace my valve cover gasket and replace some broken aluminum cover bolts.

And there's 3 bolts holding it in place, two on each side and one on the bottom (the bottom one is sideways).

Just checked, you need an E8 socket for those bolts.
