Aftermarket Extended Warranty?

I have 39,500 miles on my car. I want to buy an aftermarket extended warranty that would be COOL WITH MODS. lol

Im not familiar with any companies that do this. Any help?

I searched for this on the forums but no luck

try GM's...thats what i have and I paid about 1400 for 4yr/50000mile and so far it had payed about 5000 for me fixing the car.. never really had a problem with them.

Well just in case I did removed my PBX before sending it to dealer... since most of my fix was computer/electronic related...

I see :/

I saw some posts that implied their warranty provider was cool with it thats why.

And I contacted GM warranty its about 2,700 for a 5 year 100,000 warranty

They just called me and explained the coverage. Its just like the BMW coverage. Theres a 100 dollar deductible he told me. And its just the same services.

Enhanced Electrical Package:
Coverage is provided for the following factory installed devices if the surcharge has been paid and the option has been marked on your Declaration Page – global positioning system (GPS), electronic control modules, infrared systems, cruise control servo, proximity pass key and sensor, power
antenna motor, power trunk or tailgate actuator/motor. This option is only available with a coverage level of Vintage or Estate.

Air–Conditioning Group:
Compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, receiver drier, blower motor, and hot water valve.

Power Steering Group:
Steering gear box, pump assembly, rack and pinion, control valves, bearings and shafts.

Basic Electrical Group:
Alternator/generator, starter motor, front and rear wiper motors. Voltage regulator, distributor, solenoids, manually operated switches, electronic level control compressor including its sensor and limiter valve, electronic fuel injection sensors and injectors, electronic ignition module, power window motors, rear window heating elements, power mirror motors, power seat motors, and power door lock actuators.

Rental Car/Substitute Transportation:
We know you need a vehicle. That’s why we’ll reimburse you up to $30 a day ($150 maximum) for a rental car any time your covered vehicle is in a repair facility overnight due to a failure of any covered part. Coverage does not apply to time waiting for parts, services or other delays beyond our control or that of the repair facility. An additional $90 of rental coverage applies in the event of a parts delay when an internal repair or replacement is performed on a major component (Engine Group, Transmission Group, Drive Axle Group). Compensation ends the day repairs are completed and you are notified that your car, truck or SUV is ready. Reimbursement is valid only for rental from a licensed car rental agency.

Engine Group:
All internally lubricated parts. Crankshaft and bearings, oil pump, fuel pump, internal timing gears or chain/belt, camshaft, camshaft bearings, valve lifters, rocker arm assemblies and push rods, valve guides, pistons and rings, wrist pins, connecting rods, and distributor drive gear. The engine block and cylinder heads are covered if damage is caused by mechanical failure of an internally lubricated part.

Engine (Rotary):
All of the above listed parts plus rotors, rotor seals, rotor chamber, eccentric shaft and bearings.

Turbocharger/Supercharger:
Factory installed turbocharger or supercharger, including housing, and all internal parts.

Transmission, Transaxle, and Transfer Case (4x4 / AWD):
All internally lubricated parts contained in the housings – and torque converter. Case housings are covered if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part.

Drive Axle Group (Front or Rear):
Drive axle housing including pinion bearings, side carrier bearings, ring and pinion gears, carrier assembly, thrust washers, axles, axle bearings, constant velocity joints, internal transaxle seal, and drive axle housing, if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part.

Seals and Gaskets:
This coverage option is included for covered components on Vehicles with less than 125,000 miles at contract purchase date. Minor loss of fluid or seepage is considered normal and is not considered a failure.

Plus these benefits are included with every AUL plan...

Towing:
If your covered vehicle breaks down, we won’t leave you stranded. We’ll arrange to have your car, truck or SUV towed to the nearest qualified repair facility within a 150-mile radius. This service is available 24/7.

Flat Tire Change:
Don’t risk changing a flat yourself—call us. We’ll send a qualified pro to put a spare on your covered vehicle. If your spare won’t work, we’ll provide you with transportation to the nearest tire store for repairs.

Emergency Fuel Delivery Service:
When it comes to emergency fuel, we deliver. Any time you run out of fuel, we’ll arrange for a service provider to deliver two (2) gallons of fuel to your covered vehicle. You are responsible for the cost of the fuel at the time of delivery.

Battery Jump Service:
Few things are more frustrating than a dead battery. If your covered vehicle won’t crank, we’ll arrange for a service provider to assist you and get your vehicle moving again.

Key Lockout Service:
It’s embarrassing. It’s inconvenient. It’s easily solved with our Key Lockout Service. Just call us any time your keys are lost, broken or locked inside your covered vehicle. We’ll send a service provider and pay up to $100 per occurrence to cover the cost of the locksmith service, excluding the cost of replacement keys. You are responsible for replacement keys.

but really I will recommend the GM warranty to anyone who might need it tho.. just based on my experience and they dont give you crap about this or that is not covered or watever

5 years from the date of purchase of the warranty? or purchase date of the car?
cuz my SA quoted 3200 and change for 7 yrs 100 k.

Some people on another BMW forum had an in-depth discussion of this topic, and the consensus was that the AAA-affiliated extended warranty was the one to beat. Quite a bit better than the BMW Gold or Platinum. Cheaper but with better coverage.

YMMV.
