Installed BMW perf kit and h&r sport springs and ride is awful. Advice needed!
Installed BMW perf dampers and h&r sport sprigs and the ride is terrible. I feel every bump in the road and the suspension crashes and sounds like my wheels/tires are going to explode over the most moderate bumps.
It's awful and needs to be improved. So, what can I do? My two primarly goals are improved ride and affordable price without going cheap. So far I'm thinking st coils, h&r cup kit or a nice set of shocks. I do not need adjustable suspension, a 1 inch or so drop is ideal. |

I plan to change my rft but they are at 90 percent tread (came new on the car I just bought) and since there is really no market to sell them, I'd like to at least ride them out until they fail.... |

Kenny, the consensus around here seems to be that the h&r sport springs give a nice drop and a harsh ride. Everyone that has bought Eibach pro seems to like them, so it might be a good idea to search some of the threads about them and see what you think. Good luck, dropping the suspension and getting the qualities you want can be a pain in the neck.

I have the Eibachs w/ FSD shocks and if you wanted a 1 inch drop they would be ideal. They ride better than the stock ZSP suspension I had. Wish you had an E92 because I'm looking of getting rid of them for HR Sports because I'm looking to go alittle lower.

H&R made your car ride like shite?
IMO, non runflats won't fix your problem. You need to replace your springs. In addition to already mentioned Eibach Pro look into BMW Perf Yellow, or go back to stock springs. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237309 Keep in mind that your ride is going to be firmer no matter what you go with. |

Any bouncing in the rear with this set-up when taking a dips in the road at speed? I hear the FSD's bounce a little or can be unpredictable when the road surface become uneven.

KennyP, RDSports might be another option to consider: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=481459

I also considered the eibach, but after this experience I really wanted matched springs and shocks. So I got a great deal on Bavarian autosport coilovers which I'm going to try. I will be reselling my h&r and the BMW performance gear. Should have the new suspension in a week, and will be sure to do a review. |

The yellow springs are great. I got 1/2 drop in front and 1/4 inch out back.

This past summer i installed H&R coils on my E92 w/ xDrive. The change was definitely noticeable, but not too harsh. but then the coils settled and it became too much for NY roads. Once i got it raised back up a bit it was alot more comfortable, almost better than when I first got them installed. What suspension set up are you coming from?

Good luck. I'll have about 70k om my perf pack by summer. I think I'll shoot for sonic S1s.
