Crazy close call this morning

Went out this morning to see a snow plow had hit the car next to me and trapped me in between that car, the plow and an 8 foot snow bank.

You can just make out my car behind the hood of the snow plow

As I walked around you could see the back of the truck was just barely touching the bumper of the SUV but couldn't back up without damaging the SUV. My car is back and to the right here

Crazily enough the SUV was unlocked, we were able to get it into neutral and push the SUV back, the damage online seemed to be around the license plate area on the SUV but plow driver did leave a note.

He came within about 2 in of my bumper while backing out I was scared to death. Not a great way to start the day.

Having been a plow driver for a company this past winter I was always very nervous with how close we were supposed to plow to peoples garages, cars, etc. and would actually get yelled at because "I wasn't getting close enough".

Good to see your car made it out safely.

That was actually a close call there. Glad everything turned out fine for your car, and at least he had the decency to leave a note

JESUS! I would imagine it would be pretty fun to hit a car with a snow plow and not be responsible for it.

Well prob doesn't hurt that I saw it all happen and stayed out there for the whole thing.

Part of me wanted to leave a note telling the owner to get new tires, they were almost completely bald.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. This snow is just getting to be way too much around here now - I don't know how much more of it I can take. There have been accidents everywhere - especially at intersections because the snow banks are so high you can't see around them to pull out safely. A front side camera would be very handy for this...

I've never seen a snowplow in my life. But this year I'm learning that they have a penchant for nailing parked cars.
A couple weeks ago I saw some footage on the news of a tow truck towing a broken down snowplow which still managed to nail a car because the tow truck driver couldn't properly tow a snow plow.

I've had to change my route to work because a number of two lane roads are now one lane wide which means when cars are coming in both directions you're stuck and someone has to back up.
