Audi A3
So I have been thinking of getting a second car and I am looking at the A3. I always liked the A3, but the thing I didn't like is that they didn't have standard and AWD.
But with my 335xi e92 thats fine so I am looking for a more practical car for everyday use and carry some stuff around. So A3 would work, I would still prefer a standard with AWD but I am fine with the automatic (steptronic) with AWD. Does anyone have experience with the A3?

Pay the amount extra and get an A4/A4 Avant (wagon). I had an A4 (B8) previous to my M and when comparing it to the A3, it's worth it to just upgrade. A3 is still using an ancient chassis but the A4 Is brand new and has the new EA88 2.0T

Well the thing I like with the A3 is its small, and the A4 is a bit too big for me.

I went to an Audi dealership last week. I've noticed that the new a4 are flimsy/thin can. The A3 reminds me of older audi (B5,B6,B7)...door panels are thicker. Honestly you don't need 2 AWD car go test drive the GTI it's fun to drive. I bought one I love it...rationally speaking it's probably the best car that I've ever had(Can't beat it's bang for the buck/fun factor)

What's wong with the A3. I bought one for the wife and she loves it. The Auto Transmission shifts quickly and if you add an APR or GIAC tune it will put a big smile to your face (I had a huge grin when I smoked a 328i E92). Make sure you get the S-line package, it makes the car look a lot better and if you buy used make sure the recall on the coil packs has been performed. As far as room goes, I once took me and three other friends to a dodger game. Two of them are fat asses and the other is normal size. Well we fit nicely in the A3 and the hour drive to the dodger game wasn't bad at all. Last if you have the mod bug there is ton of mods for it, from simple tunes to upgrade turbos.
