FYI, Stock Rucks can be had used for around $1500. The stock 50cc is super slow and you would be lucky to see 40mph. Even worse when going up a hill.
GY6 engine swaps are the way to go, and when you factor in the cost of 150cc engine, engine mount, wiring harness, exhaust, header, and everything is $$$$ This is a clean bike, is street legal and registered, well taken care of, and basically a brand new 180cc motor!! There is nothing wrong with the bike, starts right up every single time and is currently sitting in my garage on a trickle charger. Pink slip in hand! |

Can you drive this thing w/o motorcycle lisence?
I thought the limit is 50cc and that's the whole point of buying scooter.

The speed is limited by the gearing, and 70mph is fast for a scooter that used to top out at 37 mph. |

When you register with the DMV they will only see it as a 50cc scooter, as there is no VIN number on the engine, just the frame. Thanks. |

I used to have a Zuma that I put a 70cc kit in and it would do an honest 65 on the flats. Thats why I thought the 180cc would be quite a bit faster. Are these Ruckus' on a vario pulley also?

I mean for a scooter what was meant to top out at 40 mph, Ive seen projects with a 600cc motor complete with gears and everything, but would you really wanna do 150 on a scooter like this? Lol
