BMW Mississauga charges for courtesy cars
I just booked my first appointment for service (under warranty) and was informed that BMW Mississuaga charges $35 service charge for a "courtesy" car.
Not only the appointment will be in 5 weeks (!!!), but I also have to "purchase" their courtesy? WTF? Anyone heard of this?? Damn, I had a Benz for 8 years and appointments were within a week & courtesy cars were free, maybe I am spoiled. Brian |

Yep! Autohaus has been charging since 2009 .. $20 for non BMW and $40 for BMW loaner.
I guess you better head over to BMW Toronto or Parkview for free courtesy loaner. |

WTF Thats messed up!
I should go there if I am bored pretend to buy a new car. Then ask them... "If I service my car do I get a loaner if its available?" ... BMW CA - Of course! "Is there a charge?" ... BMW CA - Depends. I can see them playing dumb on this. Anyways do they charge gas? I don't mind paying if they pay for gas that way I can empty it!

All Bmw dealers are headed this route because most of the work is done thru warranty. So when you take into account how Bmw sales keep improving month to month it's only a matter of time. Yes, I feel spoiled too when I drop my dad's MB off for service and get another car for free but it doesn't feel so good when I have to pay at the end.

Budd's BMW Hamilton charges $15 for one, but the Oakville is the same price but you don't get a Bimmer but you get a lovely GM piece of crap!!

I have to make sure the next car I will buy, I will ask that question and will give them a hard time. If you don't give me a free loaner then I can find anther dealer!

Based on what I was told by T&C as long as you buy your car from them the BMW loaner is free (gas extra) the catch is you need to book in advance or you will get the Enterprise rental.

Coming from MB, this is BS. I wrote BMW Canada a letter a few months ago to which they politely explained their policy.
I'm loving the e92 right now, hate it when it's in for service but when it's time for the next car, I'll be giving MB a serious consideration on the courtesy cars alone. |

Had to take my car into the dealer, they gave me a 2011 328 X1 loaner for 2 days, offered to drop of my car and pickup my loaner at work so I did not have to make the trip. Awesome service at no cost. (No rental or Gas charges)

Had service at Parkview a week ago. No fee for the courtesy car (got a 323i), just had to fill up the gas. I bought my car at BMW Waterloo (part of the Quinn Group still, so don't know if that made a difference or not in getting the courtesy car free).

I always get a free BMW loaner from Endras BMW; once when I was having the steering wheel heater control module replaced and twice for 20k/40k servicing. Two 328xi's and a 323i. All three times, my car wash washed and detailed.
Excellent service from Endras! Regards D
