i'll call RDV on monday. if you want, i have a GMTIIC for 7500. i've never used it all the stickers are still intact. My daytona has the most wrist time.
are you willing to risk rolex coming from the US i also have some friends there who ships watches to canada. |

heh, i'm not a big rolex fan but i found one that was very striking, a day-date ii with a blueish dial.
walked into the store to look at it and find out how much it was: $53,000. i walked out. upon further reflection, isn't that the same as the MSRP for a 335i? yikes

I'm not a fan of the GMTIIC bezel... I'd like to stick to the Date 40mm in Ceramic or Steel. Quote:

when it comes to rolex watches don't by the dress watches brand new. their depreciation is almost 60 percent once they are out the door. the SS sports model retain or even increase in value through time

ive been tempted by fakes..ive seen some pretty great ones for 200-400$. id hate the idea of spending all that cash on a real one when the fakes look so damn good. they basically need to pop em open to tell the diff.

Not every Rolex costs $25K. Actually, some Tags cost more than a Rolex.

Btw, Breitling doesn't make their movements in house, not that anyone cares or as if it matters. At least with a car, you have performance and practical use...and some status. A watch is completely overrated status symbol -- when people are so insecure that they can't make a statement based on their intangible achievements, they start seeking rolexes, armani clothing, and to a lesser extent a 3 series to do so, or C class. <-- See this a lot in Toronto. |

I like my Tag Link Calibre S - great everyday watch.
The Jacob JC-2 & Rolex GMT-MASTER II comes out every now and then. I checked out some of the more higher end watches, like the ones in the $50K+ price range for the fun of it while I was in Vegas and damn that's some really nice hardware. Way outta my league tho. |

Sorry for the huge emoticon I was actually looking at both the TAG carrera and the brietling b01 when I was looking for a watch back in 09 and I went with the b01.
I wanted something I can cherish for a long time and doesn't feel old. I've liked brietling for years, rolex never appealed to me but to each of their own.... Good luck Gordon!
