HELP: 2009 335xi Coupe OVER 60k Miles ? Maintenance Costs? Potential Issues?

Looking at buying a private sale 2009 335xi coupe manual. Its got 60k highway miles on it. Its in impeccable condition. 1 owner. Completely loaded.

What kinda out of pocket costs could I expect to incur over the first 2-3 years of ownership. Between 60-100k miles what things are likely to fail? There is no extended warranty, so everything will be out of pocket. Oil changes don't cost much but what about other big maintenance intervals?

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

60k miles? Did the owner ever sleep?

Ask if any accidents...or modifications/tune?

I'm still under warranty, but, only 1 fuel pump has been replaced and I'm 08' 35k miles.

If I was you I'd buy a used car from the dealer only because it'll have warranty.

$28k for a loaded mint condition 09 335xi is a good deal, its got a clean carfax, its dealer maintained, etc.. so im just trying to figure out what i will potentially spend in owning it from the present 60k miles to about 100k miles, wonder what it would be worth then too...

test drove it today, seems like a great car, front brakes have already been replaced, may need rears soon, what would that cost?

On my '09 335xi i should be hitting 89000km in a couple weeks... The car is gonna need a service at ~95000km, any idea on what this service is? And roughly how much it will cost?

1 Get the owner to get a full printout of service done from the dealer. Sometimes they won't give them out. This will tell you if the car had a lot of problems.
2 Get a prepurchase inspection
3 Have the owner go through all CBS (condition based service) items with you. You'll find out what services are due according to BMW's maintenance schedule.
4 I'd look at changing most of your car's fluids - power steering, transmission, rear end, brake. Cheap insurance. I'd skip the coolant; with only 2 years on it, it should be fine. Hopefully Turkeybaster115 will chime in to be more specific on this.

Edit: DOH! I just noticed that this was an old thread!

Thanks for ur reply iflyjetzzz!!

Just got it now lol

anyway I took it in and since my car doesn't follow inspection I/II schedules (only older bimmers do), I paid approx. $250 for the service check and an additional $150 for a power steering fluid/flush which was recommended and some fuel injector coolant... All in all with taxes I was in for $500 CDN... I go to Budd's BMW in Hamilton... I was pretty happy tho since everything else was ok
