accident again!!! New bumper time again...
so... i haven't had much luck w/ my current bimmer.
3 days after i bought the car last august, some drunk hit my car parked in front of my house. 4 days after i got it back from the shop, some douche swiped my rear bumper and today, my girlfriend drove my car out and some lady decides to turn left on right lane and pretty extensive cosmetic damage was done. obviously it was this lady's fault and the police officer told my gf that there's nothing that she did wrong. so i need to take my car to the shop and this time, i would like to get something different than just pre-lci bumper. i need to replace fender, bumper, passenger headlight, maybe passenger door. i will be going through the insurance company, but the other driver works for MBTA and was driving MBTA car at the time of the accident. is there a shop where i can take my car and ask them to get different type of bumper? like M-tech? or is it not allowed when dealt with insurance claims? thanks in advance |

depends on your insurance and the shop, for example my insurance company simply gave a quote for the damage before the repair work was done and then wrote me a check...problem was they undercut the repair work 3 times and it required 3 supplements, but in the end i had a fat check and no work was done yet to the car, what you want to do with that money after you receive the check is up to you...sorry to hear about the car, and good luck!

Try Today's Collision in Malden. They do phenomenal work there and the shop looks like a modern office building - very nice. The do all the Red Sox cars there. They have a web site too if you want to check them out.

my previous accident was on the driver's side and i took it to today's collision
they were very professional, but left headlight was defective. i took it back and they replaced the whole headlight. still same problem. took it back and they agreed to fix it. Matt, service manager or coordinator, stopped returning calls. not sure if i want to go back to Today's collision... will call sansossio first |

Julian from Sublime Restorations in Rowley is phenomenal and does lots of work on BMW's.
Tell him that Rick at Unique Car Care referred you. Good luck! |

I've got mixed reviews for them. First they mounted my rear tires on the front and vice versa (staggered 189s) and second I still have an error code (possibly a pinched wire, so that will be fun to figure out!).
They're very busy so if you need the work done quickly, go elsewhere. My car took 8 weeks to repair; when I brought it they told me they couldn't get to it for 3 weeks. The body work does look good though.

No question that Todays collision did a flawless job on the body work. But its just that I would like replacement of aftermarket part be possible thru insurance claim.
The after service was kinda bad. Any other shops? |

I had the bumper on my X5 done at Dicks Autobody in Somerville. They do a lot of BMW and high-end cars...

The last 3 visits were all at Mirak in Arlington. They've got an incredible body shop operation, and do tremendous work. I'd reccomend them strongly. |
