Skipping Gears
So, I must admit. My first car was a stick. Since then I've had two automatics until now.
My confession: I find myself, usually getting on the interstate, having fun from gears 1 though 4 then going straight to 6. Question: Do the gears need to be synchronized? Can I go from 3rd to first? I'm a new owner for a 6M I'd appreciate all tips and tricks.

If you heel-toe and double-clutch, yes you can, but our cars have so much torque, I don't know why you need to get into 1st.
About skip shifting in general, the car doesn't mind as long as you match revs. Skip shifting up, you just have to pause a moment. Skip shifting down, you need to slow the car and get the revs up - in other words, heel-toe. |

You paid for every one of those 6 gears. Why bother skipping it?
