DCI = Mice Home !
Was feeling some throttle response lag lately, not sure why. Today, I decided to add 1 qt of oil since it's been about 5000 miles and my computer said I was down 1 qt....I bought the oil opened the hood and noticed two huge mice nests in both DCI...WTF! I didn't take any pictures, just immediately started digging out that crap. No signs of any chewing...thank god.
I don't know if it were the placebo effect, however the throttle did feel much crisper! Kind of a lame story, however just thought to share. I gotta figure out how to stop this from happening...any ideas? |

just make sure they don't die inside your car.....i made the mistake of using rat poison and a field mouse died in my mom's Lexus RX. I tired to find the corpse but no luck so it made the car smelled rotten for 6 months

My buddy used to douse a bunch of cottonballs in peppermint oil and put them in a container in his car. Seemed to help and his car always smelled minty fresh haha. The cottonballs retain the oil better, just be sure to poke a few holes in the lid

I just went out to the garage and checked under the hood as I haven't driven my car for almost 3 weeks because of the snow and shitty salt and sand on the roads. I start her up every few days but I saw no signs of mice anywhere. Maybe I'll take her to work tomorrow and come home for lunch before the snow starts again......

It's been about 2 months and the mothball advice is working quite well, except you walk by my car and is smells like a urinal.

today i found tiny nut/seed shells and some mouse or maybe chipmunk shit inside the engine bay...right on top of the suspension where the sway bar is at.
i think is the children of the chipmunk that use to store food in my garage, i got rid off him using mothballs now they take revenge. i hope they are just eating in there and not nesting. i placed some monthballs in there hope to keep them out. now it gets personal..i'm going to step my game up and get a cage trap

LOL....put some mothballs in your yard and maybe the rodents will move to the neighbors.
