Car Revs then turns off help!!

Hi,

I turned my 06 323i on and the car revved a bit higher then normal then the whole car started shaking like crazy then it turns off with engine light on. I was shocked!! I've driven for over 10 years and never had that happened to me. Anyways I tried firing it up again and it is normal again. Any idea what this problem might be? I wanna fix it in case it happens again in the future.

Had my '07 E91 stall out once and it turned out to be an intermittent overcharging problem requiring replacement of the alternator.

If I were you, I'd get your car checked out by a dealer or competent BMW independent tech.
