Easy but possibly dumb winter floor mat question - feel free to flame me

So I bought the big ugly OEM winter rubber floor mats and since it's snowing right now I'd like to install them.

Question: Do they just sit on top of the original carpet mats, which then sit on top of the carpeted floor, or do I remove the carpet mats for the winter and use just the rubber mats?

Thanks very much,

Quimby

Remove the carpet and put the rubber ones. You'll notice if they're both real OEM mats both of them will have the velcro fabric on them to adhere them to the vehicle, so naturally you need to remove one set of mats to expose the velcro to the other set.

Perfect, thanks for the quick response.

I suppose I should have opened the package before asking...
