335 Badge or De-badge?

If you've paid that extra bit to get a 335, ofcourse you want everyone to know. However, all BMW enthusiasts will know from the tailpipes that you have a 335. I dont think non-ethusiasts will know the difference or appreciate it if you have the car badged or not. I think the tailpipes on the 335 are its unique and exclusive identifiers amongst the BMW family of engines. I think true appreciation comes from BMW enthusiasts and therefore the 335 does not need to be badged.

I agree to some extent, but leaving the badge on kind of shows that you're not really an enthusiast, but you're so rich & cool that you just bought the car your friend in the know encouraged you to get and now just enjoy driving it.

I'm saying the car should be de-badged (not badged).

Sorry this does sound pomp, didn't mean it to sound like that, it deserved the two "whys". I guess what i'm trying to say is the pride you feel when you know youre in a monster car, you kinda want to show-off.

The only people that should debadge are the ones that get 328's and want people to think they have 335's. Yes I know about the exhaust but most other people do not.

I saw a car without the 335i badge and it looked strange in the back. Like it was missing something.

I agree with removing the badge.

Enthusiast will know the 335 by the visual identifiers (tailpipes, front mesh, wheels). Non-enthusiast won't know what a 335 is to begin with, or what makes it any different then a 330/328/325.
The badge can go.

I have a 330i and it's debadged... I did it the day I took delivery; far before the 335i was even being mentioned. I don't want people to think I have a 335, nor do I go for the "sleeper" angle. I just think the car looks cleaner without a badge distracting from the lines of the car.

No no, I meant as far as the coupes were concerned. Sorry, I should have specified.

The badge doesnt "distract" from anything. Its like 2 inches by like 4 or 5 inches.

335d does also have two single exhausts

I don't want everybody to show what (expensive) car I've bought, and for all the ricers it's also better they keep thinking what car it might be. I like the surprise-element of debadging. Third it looks cleaner on the back of an E92.

For me always debadging the car, wheter it's an 318i or an 335d

This is the best comment so far. I agree 110% with you. Do things because you like how they look, not for reasons involving what other people think..

And on that note, I love the clean look as well, so here is a pic of my a$$..

It's amazing what blacklines do to the rear of the e90. I know it's off topic but everytime I see them I think it would be the first mod I did if I had an e90.
