search the forum there is a way to access the hidden menu

I think you have to have the car on\engine off and then hold the stalk down for like 10-15 seconds to access it.

hahaha, that dude had a piece of blank tape over a lighted icon on his dash

Here's the thing, I know how to reset service icons thru the on-board menu. However, Im talking about the general "service" light that comes on at 30/60/90k miles. Does this automatically go away when you reset the items that need to be addressed at that time? (as I do have 2 service icons present I haven't reset b/c I haven't addressed them yet).

Or is it separate reset procedure altogether?

Thanks for all the help

You reset it just like an oil change.

Lagger, I'm at the 60K interval and mine is going off to. I replaced the cabin air filter with an OEM one and reset the sensor through the normal process you mentioned. All the rest of the regular system checks are good. To answer your question I think it is a separate process to reset the service soon indicator.

put your key in the ignition, start it without turning on the engine. Hold the odometer reset for 6-10 seconds until you see some service intervals, press in the BC button to reset them. then turn on car. DONE
