HELP PLEASE!!!! Battery was shorted electrics still dead!!!!!

Can anyone help please!!!

I was doing someone a favour and giving them a jump start.

I managed to short out my positive to the bodywork whilst attaching the lead.

Now my car is completely dead. The old battery was a dead short so I have replaced with a new one which is fine. Measuring across it when connected up and it's normal voltage etc.

I am guessing something else has tripped and needs resetting or something. Is it a main fuse for the E92 or some kind of circuit breAker or something?????

Any help gratefully received!!!!!!!

Your IBS sensor most likely blew....I think you need that coded to your car as well.

I'm talking about the huge red distribution block looking thing on the positive terminal of the battery.

ibs is the negative battery terminal-BST is positive-and theres large fuses inside that red thing which are different than the actual BST portion of the positive side. pop the cover off of it by where the wires connect into it with the plugs-theres large metal fuses in there
