Wheel alignment
hey guys i'm at the dealership right now and they quoted me 250 for wheel alignment... and i had just called good year and they quoted me 75.. now the question is if i bring it to good year would it void my warranty?? lol i'm sure this question has already come up prior but the search tab resulted in nothing.. thanks guys for helping please let me know.. i don't want to ask the dealer as they would assume that i had done at another place other than a BMW certified shop or what not.. thanks again.

1) how would they know where you got it aligned?
2) it's not even covered under warranty... how would they void it.. suspension parts? you'd have to really mess up and alignment for that to come about 3) don't go to a chain place.

I can tell you from experience that most of these independent car repair chains DO NOT know how to properly align late model European cars. I used a couple of Firestone, Goodyear, Sears, and Wheel Works (local chain) and they NEVER aligned it properly. There excuse was it was "in specs" and they couldn't do anything about it or they blamed it on the front tires.
Found a independent shop that specialized in BMWs and Mercedes. They got it straight as a arrow the first time. Granted in cost more but it was money well spent in my opinion. |

I just paid $119 at the dealer on Friday - their normal price, not a sale price. Their price is $95 when there is a sale going on.
I agree with everyone else - don't go to a chain for an alignment. Maybe check with another dealer or check this site and find an indy near you: http://www.bimrs.org/ |
