Spark plug change at 89k
Today I decided to change the plugs in my 2006 330i. Chances are it will be summer at the time I turn 100k and they are due so I had some time and nice weather so figured what the heck. Used the DIY on the site and it walked me through perfectly. Anyway the visual inspection of the plugs shows all it well and based on the visual alone one would think I would not notice a difference in performance once they were changed. In fact I did, fairly substantial in terms of acceleration and a small amount on idle. I will see if I get a difference in mpg which I suspect see a slight improvement. My point is that I think going the full 100k on the plugs might be stretching them a bit. Not sure what the magic number should be but for those with about 2 hours to kill and a car getting close to time for new plugs you may want to go for it sooner rather than later.
