scraped rim...what to do?
Hi guys,
This is my first post and I hate that it's bad news for me. Anyways I have scraped my rim, it's a '19 BMW Star Spoke 230 and I'm really mad at myself cause they were new and now I have nasty scrapes on the front passenger wheel. They look like the picture below. Can you guys tell me a good spot to get it repaired in the GTA. Wondering if they can sand it or something to smooth it out. Will it look brand new again? Thank you |

Just google search "Alloy wheel repair". You'll find some good stuff.
Pricing is usually $150-300 for our cars... sometimes it's actually worth it to keep it as a 5th and buy a new one. |

for me the best option was bmw toronto since its similar price as other repair places as well as they can do it all while wheel is on the car. surprisingly most other places want to charge for tire removal

BMW Toronto outsources to Alloy Wheels Repair, or something like that. Mobile service. If you go to Alloy directly, it's actually a cheaper price since BMW Toronto charges a "finders fee".
Sure they don't charge for the wheel removal, but the finders fee takes care of that. Nothing is for free in this world my friend.

I actually went to BMW Autohaus today morning and the service guy said it would be sent to another place they don't do it in house. He said it would be around $100.
Thanks for letting me know about the finders fee, I Googled 'Alloy Wheel Repair' and found out for Toronto it is Howard Clausner that does it. Thank You! |

There are two types of repairs:
1. spot repair - tire on wheel on car, they just spot fix it on your car 2. complete repair - you need to take the wheel off, dismount for repair, and remount.
