Unhappy Scratched plastic trim on 328i

Has anyone else noticed how easily the glossy black plastic trim piece between the front door glass and rear glass scratches? Both sides had scratches when I took delivery. Is there a product that will remove light surface scratches on plastic?

Ouch!

Did the person that delivered the car noticed them? If yes get them to replace those part ASAP. I would not be happy if it were me. If not, you will have to either replace them out of pocket or find a way to make them disapear. That is assuming you want the scratches gone bad enough.

If someone knows a way to polish those out, speak up.

It looks like this trim scratches easily ,and because it has a high gloss ,it is very noticable. Not a good choice of material between two windows.

$30/trim. Not expensive so if the dealer doesn't take care of you, it shouldn't
be a big deal for you to buy them and have them replaced if you want those
scratches gone real bad. I don't think they can be buffed out or polished so
that they can go away.

I'll bet pretty much every 328 or 335 has swirling/scratching on the trim piece. There was a lot of swirling the day I got the car.
