Unplugging battery will reset FRM (footwell module) ?

Upon my recent visit at the dealership for my annual maintenance, i requested that i have my FRM reset as well due some AE problems that ive been having. When i picked up my car, both the SA and Technician said that in the future if i wanted to reset my FRM myself, i just need to disconnect the battery's negative connector and leave it unplugged for an hour+.

Does this really work?

What does the footwell module do and what does the "R" stand for in FRM?

The Footwell module will control Central Door/Trunk locking as well as Lighting. It is also one of the primary modules which holds the Vehicle Order.

OP: Your technician is referring to a digital breaker which will turn off the AEs if a fault is detected. A battery reset will not solve this issue as this fault must be cleared by the dealer or independent equipped with an autologic.
