Boston: Help Changing Spark Plugs

Just passed my 50k free maintenance and couldn't get my spark plugs replaced before it ended. Now they are saying that they need to be replaced at 54k and I'd rather buy a set of spark plugs for $80 and do it myself than pay $300 at the dealership. So I was wondering if there is anyone in the Boston area that has a torque wrench and BMW spark plug socket for the N54 engine that can help me out. Thanks.

Slightly off topic, but I am actually going in tomorrow for my last free maintenance service. Did you have to ask for certain things to be replaced or will they only replace what they believe needs to be changed out...i.e. spark plugs.

From my experience at my dealership, they only replace as needed. For example, when I brought my car in at 49.5k miles I asked for everything that can be covered my maintenance to be covered before I hit 50k. Because spark plugs weren't within 1,000 miles of replacement, they could not replace them. If you have something that is close to the replacement mileage/date I would ask though because I'm sure ymmv.

UPDATE: Service advisor called and looked into my car's service records and found that they didn't reset service light for the spark plugs when they were replaced under previous owner so no need for them to be replaced for another 35k miles. I'll just have to reset the service light.
