reverse light problem

so i just recently burnt out my left side revers light went today got a replacement bulb,installed, and it won't light up i even took it back out and switched it around to see if the prongs made a difference and still it wont light up HELP please

Does the bulb work on the right side of the car? Can't tell you WHAT is wrong, but will determine if it's the bulb or the socket.

thanks for the reply but i took it to the dealer and it needed to be coded

Lights don't need to be coded.

Are you sure the dealer didn't replace your taillight as per the TSB regarding the faulty bulb holder?
