I've heard good things about MTec, we carry WeissLicht which are plug and play and error free.

Just don't order them from F1AutoHaus. Mike went MIA some time ago and according to the posts on this forum the product never ships and the money gets refunded after X period of time.

New word on the street is that F1 no longer exists and Mike no longer has any connection with them. Which is a shame, because he was a great vendor.

I have 2007 328i e92, and I bought the Mtec license plate light from e92-lighting. Looks great, although BRIGHT as hell. No errors whatsoever. I had to vinyl half the module on both due to the intensity. Honestly, I wish I would have just gone with OEM.

Try ticher. (getbmwparts.com)

I have the MTEC licence plate lights and although they are not AS bright as that picture, they are bright enough that I dont second guess my decision to buy them. Also error free.

Got Mtec License plate led as well from e92-lighting along with mtec v2 for my angel eyes, installed the license plate led so far, VERY BRIGHT compared to OEM, i love it. Waiting to install the Mtec V2's but the weather hasn't been too good lately. Tried installing them without taking off the wheel well but didn't work.
