Lobby for 335xi Sports Wagon in US?
So I am interested to know who would want to purchase a 335xi Sports Wagon, if they were to bring it to the US. My overall goal is to lobby BMW to bring this beauty to the US, even if it just a customer order option. People have had similar luck with VW and Audi, so I figured why not see if BMW could be pushed in this direction.
Cheers, Chuck |

I hate wagons. But if said wagon is fast and is thus a sleeper(M5 wagon, RS6/4 Advant, E55 AMG wagon), it kicks total ass.

Yes, I am definitely love the sleeper idea. Otherwise, I will be forced to purchase a 328xi and transplant the 335 later (if possible). I would rather purchase it all from the factory though.

I'm quite a few years away from needing a wagon, but I still think fast German wagons are a heck of a lot more hip and practical than an SUV or (god forbid.. ick) a minivan.

I think there should be a third choice: "I might not buy one, but would like to see the option available"

i like the E91 wagon. i think its pretty good looking. i dont get it...in europe wagons are looked at as very luxurious and pretty high status, here everyone thinks you need 3 baby seats in the back to justify owning one. i say DO IT!

Why would you want the E55 over the E63? I'd take 500+ naturally aspirated horses over 469 supercharged ones any day.

IMO there is a lot of ego and "social influences" involved in the contrasting body styles (wagon vs. coupe vs. sedan) and how one is perceived by society that is very much different between Europe and the States. In any event, I could have purchased any model I wished. In fact I could have found a sedan option just the way I wanted it in stock but I chose to wait the 2 months for my E91. I'd love to see a 335xiT here in the States.

I don't have any kids, don't even have a big dog. But, I LOVE my E91. I would buy a 335XIT in a heartbeat.
IMO, the wagon just looks better. It doesn't have the trunk awkwardness that plagues the sedans. |

I think 335xit would be the best combination of fun, practicality and good look. Also, you kind of slip on police radar, at least compare to coupe. US police has this sucker mom car believe which helps to avoid some tickets.
It's funny, when I picked up my kids after school I have noticed almost all moms drive SUV these days. |
