I'm going to be a repeat BMW customer and was wondering being so do you not have to pay the security deposit?

Yep.
Even if you had 10 Bimmers you will pay it.

Did you buy your previous BMW from the same dealership? If so then a security deposit shouldn't be required until you recieve a production number. Repeat customer service issue I would think.

This is my second BMW from the same dealership. No $$ up front whatsoever when I ordered my E92 -- and zero down on my lease.

The US market is more competitive I think than the Canadian market. Here it would be the exception, rather than the rule, not to have to pay a security deposit when signing the lease at car delivery.
