Best time to buy summer wheel/tire set?

I've never bought new so I'm not sure. Buy over the winter looking for a deal and no one has to rush at all or look for sales in the spring?

Shop around during the winter, buy them in the spring, from Tirerack, about 2 weeks before I want to put them on.
www.tirerack.com has a great sight that lets you get a picture of your car with the wheels on your car. Even lets you change the colour of the car. Delivery of any in-stock wheel/tire by UPS in about a week.
