Am I the only one who thinks....

It would be sweet if there was a cheaper 6 series option. If you are SET on a BMW and SET on a 4 seater coupe. you basically have the 3 series coupe and the 6 series. The most expensive 3 series with EVERY option is 54,690 dollars. the CHEAPEST 6 series with nothing is 74,900 dollars. that seems like a tremendous gap. and thats including a lot of features on the 3 series that i wouldnt even consider getting. I personally would highly consider a 6 cylinder 6 series if it was an option. at least as far as 4 door goes, you have 3 series from 30-50k, 5 series from 50-75k and 7 series from 75k-140k. the have every budget covered right there with no gap. seems weird.

I think the 6 series is a little too big to have a 6cylinder engne. Somehow I think the ride wouldnt be as smooth as it is with the V8.

630 would be rediculously slow in comparison to the 4.8l V8.

Plus, I think BMW wants to keep that in competition with other high end drop tops, and introducing a low end of their higher end coupe doesnt make a whole lot of sense...

the 6 series is also insanely ugly whereas the 3 series looks awesome!

That's exactly where they'll slot in the E92 M3

We have the 630i in Europe (6 cyl.)

0-62mph in 6,5s and topspeed of 155 mph limited with a baseprice of €89.000,- (compared to a full-spec 335i does cost around €80.000,-)*

The 650i (followed the v8 645i), has a topspeed of 155 mph limited and a 0-62mph time of 5,4s.

So the 650i V8 and the 335i aren't that much faster, only in acceleration from standstill.

*) these are Dutch prices.
