e90 325i Engine Vibration

I have 2006 325i which seems to have significant engine vibration which can be felt through the clutch pedal and also the gearlever. It's noticable across the rev-range and isn't very pleasant. It doesn't seem to be getting any better with time (I am past the break in period). In general the engine runs rough. Another aspect I have noticed is that as I lift of the throttle you can feel the gearlever move.

Anyone have similar issues? I'm concerned that possibly one of the engine mounts is not in great shape, or that I may have some sort of an issue with a plug or injector. I've had the car looked at twice by the dealer, and they insist it is normal. Put it this way, it's more akin to a colleague's Golf Diesel than my previous car, and E46 323i.

Thanks for your help.

I have a similar issue, but different cause I think. My car vibrates a bit too, with it being noticeable through the gearshift especially. However, if I put the car in neutral and rev the engine, it's smooth as silk. Hence I am thinking it's the wonderful tranny. It too has been getting worse over time. When the car was new, acceleration felt like a turbine. Now I feel it. Am not a happy camper about it.

both of you need to see the dealer.
I have the 325, 6MT, 11k miles, no roughness, no vibration, very smooth...

Thanks. I booked my car in for service next Thursday. Will get them to look at it (again). My experience has been that they usually plug the car into a computer, and unless it says anything is wrong, they won't be able to find anything.

Had an issue with a brake failure on my E46 323i almost 2 years ago. I took it in, they could not replicate the problem, so they replaced the front disks ($1000). They also wanted to replace the traction control computer ($1000) as this was registering a fault. I did not agree to that expense as I believed the problem was with the brakes. I picked up the car, it still felt wrong - like a brake was sticking. The car would still not roll back on hills, and the right rear wheel would get hot. I returned the car to them and the replaced the caliper (additional $1000).

As for the E90, another observation I have is that I am getting a clattery sound at idle. Anyone else have this?

Hi I have the same problem with my 318i.

I have light engine vibrations on my gas pedal & clutch when the car is hot only. I have no idea what it is, the dealer cannot see anything.
my1997golf, Did you find anything about it?
Thanks
Tamir

Probably not as the OP has not posted anything in over three years.
