Exclamation My radiator?? WTF

Pulled up in the lot. Did the routine of closing up everything, mirrors, windows, car itself. Took out IPOD. Closed the door. Locked the car. And heard something on from under the hood. WTF? I said lol. Lift the hood up. It was the radiator still blowing/sucking air. I tried turning on and off the engine that didn't do it. I locked unlocked, that didn't do it. Then it just stopped... after 2 minutes.

Anyone had this similar experience? or Have an idea wtf was that? I was scared, didn't want to leave the car not knowing how long that thing would be running for, next thing it'd have a dead battery in the morn.

Sounds like the electric fan was running after you shutdown. This is normal. The fan will sometimes run for a few minutes to cool down the engine.

May not be that simple. Once after a particularly fast curvy drive (albeit sort, maybe 10 mins), my car did not shut off the fan for 10 minutes after switching the car off - after 10 mins I got worried it may run down the battery, so switched the ignition on and off (reboot); viola, the fan switched off....

It runs until it decides your car is cool enough but never long enough to kill the battery. Relax and let the car work the way it was designed.
